71It looks like JoWood didn't learn much from releasing a bug-ridden Gothic 3 game. The new add-on is full of bugs, too. But even without them, the game wouldn't be as good as the other recently released RPGs. At least the quest and the story are well done.

Only die-hard fans of the Gothic franchise will be able to overlook the games terrible technical shortcomings. Forsaken Gods hits rock bottom of what was once a great roleplaying series.
-
63This stand alone expansion brings the player back to Myrtana, delivering a good storyline. Sadly, every flaw of the predecessor is there. The engine is still heavy and non optimized, and the same bug-fest we all remember hasn't been solved at all. Only for die-hard fans.

35This title is outright disastrous. It was obviously released without thorough or perhaps any testing. The game is rife with design and performance problems and ultimately is unplayable.
-
Because no matter how much they fix it, Forsaken Gods is a very poor title. I didn’t like it, I don’t recommend it and I am saying that not without regrets, because we’re still talking about a Gothic game.
-
Trash. There is no other word for Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods. Not only this expansion is buggy and horribly designed, it's simply useless.
-
16And in the process of keeping it real, I have to comment on Forsaken Gods' combat system, which is -- without a doubt -- the worst I've ever encountered in a game.
-
When any of the Gothic series games come out without any fatal bugs the game achieves an 8+ rating for sure. But this day didn’t come with Forsaken Gods. Maybe next time. [Feb 2009]

Forsaken gods? Rather forsaken legacy and a blatant ripoff. After two years of development we receive a game with a plethora of bugs, jerky graphics and frequent crashes to the desktop, a game that strips this franchise of the pitiful remains of its former glory. [Jan 2009]

69A downright frightening army of bugs both scares away any potential fan of Gothic and eliminates any fun that could have been had with the game. [Issue#17]
