This game is not a “Run and Gun”. You get time to plan your strategy during combat. Each party is composed of four characters chosen from eight types.

Wizard, Sorcerer, Cleric, Paladin, Thief, Rogue, Outlander and soon to be released the Duelist. You don’t get nickeled and dimed to death with IAPs. You can purchase all of the characters and all four episodes for a single price.

Watching each of the characters develop is really fun. You get to do it your way lots of flexibility. I’ve already played 137 hours on Steam and just scratched the surface of possibilities. The world of HoS grabs your imagination, when you are creating from literally hundreds of choices the immersive experience will eat up the hours.

You can play at any difficulty you feel comfortable with. If normal isn't challenging enough you can take it all the way from Nightmare to Brutal. How about the Monsters? Well they can come at you in large numbers. The AI is well done. The monsters don't go by like ducks in a shooting gallery. They set sneaky ambushes, create minefields of traps to hide behind, and will flank your party from all directions adjusting their tactics on the fly. You really feel a sense of accomplishment after winning a battle. The monsters level up with you dealing more damage and getting tougher to hit. You don’t get stuck with the same old monsters, new types are being added with every major release.

Support: Some games are like a can of beans. You bought it now eat it. No fixes, no returns. The Trese Brothers are constantly working on HoS adding new content, fixing bugs and listening to what players have to contribute on their Forum. If you want to buy more games from people with serious commitment to excellence and fun, keep these guys in mind when making your next purchase.

This game is a must-have if you like RPGs with a deep sense of tactical and a good storyline.
More, the developers are always updating it in
order to make it even better that it is. If you liked Baldur's Gate series but want a more turn to turn combat system, you should try it. Expand

A solid turn based RPG where the emphasis is on combat. Its quite deep with a good deal of tactical options. The story is standard fair but serviceable for getting you from battle to battle. The most impressive thing so far has been the support by the developers who are constantly patching and improving the PC experience , fixing bugs and interface problems and adding new quests areas and story content. I can see this game only getting better as time goes on and for the cheap asking price you are sure to get your monies worth. Expand
