  • Summary: The West must march to the defense of the East. All should go, rich and poor alike and fight a righteous war to free and recapture the Holy Lands from the infidels. Every move you make has life and death consequences for your troops, so set your strategy with caution as you forge into battle.

  1. If you are a fan of the crusades or a first time RTS buyer though, the low price tag may also be a good way for you to get your feet wet and the simple gameplay style overall could be a good stepping stone into the more detailed titles out on the shelves.

After playing through this excruciatingly awful game, it is a safer bet that you're better off loading up an old game like "Stronghold" or the aforementioned "Age of Kings" instead, because even with its bargain basement price, Crusades offers no value.
  3. A buggy mess that has nothing to do with the actual Crusades and even less to do with fulfilling, engaging gameplay.
