  • Summary: Set in Indonesia in the near future, Joint Operations takes the player to a country on the verge of disintegration. Regional independence movements have acquired advanced weaponry as the nation's military splits into competing factions. Escalating violence threatens innocent civilians and Western economic interests. [NovaLogic] Expand

Absolutely tears up the modern-day war zone and even one-ups the "Battlefield" stranglehold in many areas.
  2. The 150-player battles mostly live up to the hype, and the atmosphere and visuals rival the best stuff seen in first person shooters this year.
  3. Any military FPS fan will absolutely love this game. The graphics and sound are top notch, and the multiplayer experience is second to none. For a MSRP of 40 bucks and no subscription fee, any fan of the genre will consider this a must have and well worth the money.
  4. When it really gets going, it's an exhilarating game of modern combat, albeit one that's also weighed down with some bugs and gameplay issues.
  5. The game is worth a shot for anybody getting sick of the same old grind. Just be prepared for a real challenge, as staying alive can sometimes be just as hard as killing somebody else, if not harder.
  6. In many ways, Joint Ops is the game that "Battlefield: Vietnam" should have been. It may not have the same sense of style, but it's better balanced, has more interesting maps, and is much, much bigger.
  7. It does the hard stuff that most game neglect so well, but it either phones in or omits entirely the easy stuff. [Sept 2004, p.72]

This game looks like bf1942 with way better graphics/maps and it provides foliage for ground troops. At this point it looks like one of the greatest games I've ever seen! Expand

This game is great! Servers are still well populated and the game is still fun! Even for today's standards (2011) this game could beat any other. Good graphics, gameplay ,etc. Worth the buy! Expand

This is war... all other games should aspire to this! factors like 'spawn camping' and 'almost one shot kill' make the game more realistic then other games in its class. Expand

Even with the age of this game, it still out plays all the latest/modern games. With the ability to make custom maps, and the amount of people you can fill a server with(150+) it is still a great game. Can't stop playing it! This game even has a tournament that has been in existence since 2004, www.icjo.info Expand

BHD was okay. This is ok. but there is way too much b*tch sniping and waiting to spawn time. The spawn camping sucks, and none of the servers have friendly-fire turned on so the game gets boring quickly. It's okay, but there are other better games out there like BF1942, BF:V, Call of Duty.
