Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness Image
  • Summary: A series of grisly murders brings Lara into conflict with a sinister Alchemist from the past, and a secret alliance of powerful individuals shrouded in mystery. At the center of these mysteries are the Obscura Paintings - five 14th century pieces of art that the Alchemist is desperate to repossess. Accused of the murder of her one time mentor, Werner Von Croy, Lara becomes a fugitive on the run. Pursued by the police, she follows the Alchemist into a dark world of blood, betrayal and vengeance where it is up to her to defeat this unholy alliance, and stop them from unleashing their incredible powers on the world. 1. Even with TR's faults, this game is quite enjoyable for new people to the TR universe. Old fans will just be ecstatic over the story and the chance to play a 21st century version of Lara Croft.
  2. Unlike previous Tomb Raider games that presented you with a handful of secrets items, areas, or unlockable bonus content, there is nothing here beyond the core game (no pun intended). There are no branching paths, multiple endings or any reason to replay the game anytime soon after your first pass.
  3. Infuriating, buggy, and ultimately boring. [Oct 2003, p.96]

love the game. Yes indeed it is the most advanced and most interesting lara Croft game yet. But I think Tomb Raider 4 is still the best but the new Lara Rocks. I had no troubles with the controls because I am a fan of lara and I have played TR 3,TR 4 TR Chronicles and I now have finished TR TAOD. Everyone should try this one. Expand
