Left 4 Dead: Crash Course Image
  • Summary: (Downloadable Content) Left 4 Dead's latest DLC delivers an all-new single-player, multiplayer and co-operative gameplay experience, expanding the game universe with new locations, new dialogue from the original cast, and an explosive finale. At the finale of No Mercy, our four Survivors fought their way to the rooftop of Mercy Hospital, where they were flown away to safety in a helicopter. Crash Course continues the story moments later, taking our heroes from a fiery helicopter crash in the outskirts of Riverside to the escape vehicle that will lead them to the events in Death Toll. While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, one of the primary goal of Crash Course is Versus mode. Crash delivers a complete, streamlined Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes. A recharge timer for infected teammates has also been added, so you can better coordinate your attacks. Item spawn behavior has changed for more balanced gameplay. [Valve] Expand

  1. "Crash Course" small campaign that it is, is extremely satisfying, gibing hints of some new visuals and design elements to come for the series.
  2. It's a decent update featuring more the same.
  3. More Zombies and action for Left 4 Dead, but it's hardly recommendable in Xbox 360 because of its high cost.

The Crash Course campaign helps to bridge the gap between the early l4d and the new and updated l4d2. The first maps were short and weapons were in exact locations, with few interesting spots for special infected. Crash Course is much longer with gifts left all throughout the level, guns showing up in random order in random spots, and a TON of lovable spots for special infected to spawn. Expand

A decent campaign but only 2 maps? It's quite short but the thing I like about it is that it takes longer to travel instead of 5 mins rushing. It's ok, but I expected more maps! Expand

I have to say that I was extremely dissapointed with this new addition. I fail to see why it would take so long to develop such a quick and plain campaign. Valve's excuse for the short levels, that they would make a good quick game, does not come to fruition, instead leaving us wondering what prevented them from creating a real campaign? The changes to interface and item spawning are a decent plus, but really this DLC really feels like it was spat out to satisfy the anti-L4D2 groups. Expand
