Lord of Ultima does offer premium items that allow players to achieve success at a faster pace; however, this game is still enjoyable without purchasing those items. The game's premise is to build an empire beginning with a starter town and then expanding across the world map to achieve points by capturing world markers or by participating in world events. This game is browser based; however, I haven't noticed any major compatibility issues with the browsers that I use to play.

Try out this game if you're looking for another browser based game to add to your routine.

Like most of them you are tasked with building up an empire from nothing but what makes this game a little different than the rest is that the features and mechanics are very well thought out and gives you plenty to do while playing. So much, in fact, that I often spend hours at a time working on my empire without even realizing it. My one complaint is that the web scripting can be annoyingly buggy at times causing the browser to hang or freeze - though it behaves well enough most of the time. Lord of Ultima is much more interactive than most of the other similar games available which makes it my favourite of the bunch. If you like these sort of games then be sure to try it out. Expand
