In the game, players can collect and play as their favorite Marvel Superheroes (including Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine, Hulk, Spider-Man, Captain America and many others).

Team up with friends and try to stop Doctor Doom from devastating the world with the power of the Cosmic Cube in a story written by Marvel comic super-scribe Brian Michael Bendis.

Marvel Heroes 2015 offers many hours of fun, with free content, true to Marvel Universe and note that the developer provides great support to the game with consecutive patches and added content, based on the feedback of a strong community. If you are a Marvel fan, what are you waiting for? Try it.

From Wolverine to Spider-Man and Cable, all the heroes you wanted to be when you were a kid are made available, with more to come. As an added bonus, you can unlock all of them without ever paying anything, which makes for the best kind of free-to-play experience, where you never feel constrained to do anything, and any money you spend only translates into cosmetic or quality-of-life upgrades, without unbalancing the game in any way.

A year later, Marvel Heroes is the game it wanted to be when it was released, and its ability to grow and change by acknowledging its problems and actively trying to solve them, is a testament to one of the best features of MMO.

Like Steve Rogers, Marvel Heroes initially had its heart in the right place, but was lacking everywhere else. Fortunately, the game has improved enough over the past year that the results are about as dramatic as Steve’s eventual transformation into Captain America via the Super Soldier Serum.

A surprisingly solid ARPG featuring a litany of iconic superheroes. [Sept 2014, p.56]

Marvel Heroes is now a solid title that any ARPG fan should at least try once. After a bumpy launch, it's back on track.

If you're a hardcore Marvel Comics fan you could find it entertaining, but even in it's latest incarnation Marvel Heroes is too lacking in terms of depth and mechanics.

This game satisfies my desire for collecting items and wraps it in the always awesome Marvel wrapping.

    Great characters, awesome events,
and lots to do. My social life my suffer a bit from it, but it feels worth it at the moment!

    Highly recommend.

A game whose low level play features The Incredible Hulk punching Rocket Propelled T-rexes until they explode.

    A game whose mid-level play
features an angry racoon from space and his walking tree monster who may also be royalty respectively shooting and punching ninjas.

A game whose high-level play features Iron Man dropping airstrikes, launching missiles and firing piercing laser orbs all aimed at the robot army of a European dictator with mommy issues.

    A good game.

It's amazing how much work was put into this game the last year. I don't see myself playing anything else for the upcoming years. And Silver Surfer is coming next week!!!! Expand

Marvel Heroes is not without its faults. The Random nature of the f2p model is more than a bit annoying, the game is easy and Gaz seems more eager to push things out than to balance and make sure they work properly.

That said, the game is way too much fun. It's a big, dumb, meaty aRPG with one of the most popular licences in the world and full of character.

Some heroes at the moment need an update, but they're getting to it. In one year the game has gone for complete **** to completely impossible to put down. Imagine, one year from now?

TL; DR If you played the game early on and wrote it off (as I did), then take a chance on the bandwidth to try out the revitalized MH experience.

I was invited to the open beta for this game, played for a couple weeks, and left. Was very disappointed in the initial experience. Especially my personally favorite hero, Hulk.

Then I came back about 3 months ago, and what a completely different experience. Between the new game modes (midtown Manhattan, X Defense), additional difficulty levels, variety of gameplay among the heroes, the 52 Reviews of existing heroes, it is a completely different experience. Not to mention the events that Gaz has! Between buffed loot drops, buy-one-get-one on costumes/heroes, etc, almost every week has something going on.

I can't emphasize how varied the heroes gameplay is. As soon as I get one to cap, I look forward to leveling another one.

Another huge difference they have now from launch is how easy it is to get heroes. Costumes and heroes were very overpriced (in my opinion) at launch. Now, they are much cheaper, and you can grind an in game currency to purchase them as well.

The only reason this is a 9 and not a 10: needs a bit more client optimization, and there's definitely some lag that occurs whenever too many heroes are on screen.

This game is a whole new game from when it launched a year ago. If any game deserves to have an updated score it's this one. as the time of the review i have 650 hours logged and plan to spend 650 more! This game has a very fair payment model by allowing you to acquire any and all heroes in the game for free just by playing the game! the only thing that you will need to spend money on is stash tabs and costumes. I think stash tabs are the only "mandatory" thing because you get so much cool stuff you want to hold onto.

the development team has no equal, they are constantly updating the game as well as interact heavily with the community. Expect weekly patches, with a BIG patch once a month and smaller patches throughout that month.

this is the first thing i've ever reviewed or scored on metacritic because i truly believe in this game, if you don't believe me download it for free and try yourself.

This game was ok for its time, it was fairly broken at the start in 2013, but now it no longer has an excuse.

    This game has been poorly
optimized, every patch has new bugs, no hero is released without less than 5 bugs on them that takes months, almost a year to fix, and worst of all the management is corrupt. They will do anything they have in their power to silence you from bad mouthing their game.

Every month they promise better optimization, know how many months its been since release? Coming on 15. Their patches are as large as hell, the last one was 5gb, for the new hero rogue, jean grey level 52 rework, and a terminal bronx zoo. Things that, normally would take any other game company about maybe 1-1.5gb. Their regular patches are anywhere from 300mb-2gb and those are weekly patches.

Bugs bugs bugs. Should've been called bugged heroes 2015. Always bugs always, its amazing because no other game have I noticed so many bugs, not even WoW, and WoW pushes things out fast too. Some of these bugs have gone without a fix for months. Loki, a playable character, one of his builds is absolutely garbage, because they can't seem to take maybe a day to fix how bosses react to cc effects, or change how the abilities work.

The game deserves no more than 0 in my opinion just because of the above, they would get higher if they showed they cared to fix these issues, but they don't. As long as people praise them like gods and still feed them money, well, they'll still pretend to the tyrannical gods they are.
