  1. No heartfelt sense of victory remained after the beauty pageant had ended. A more comprehensive motocross biking game might have included racing, not just freestyle.
  2. A terrific simulation. It requires great reflexes, knowledge of the courses you are running, and quick decision-making – especially when the clock is ticking down on your attempt, and you are behind in points.
  3. There's probably no single feature of Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX that could be considered exceptional, but that isn't a prerequisite for a game to be fun or addicting--and the PC version of Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX is both.

A mixed bag. While the action can be intense at times, the bugs make the game more frustrating than it has to be.
  5. Adding to the frustration is that too often you’ll crash when landing, even though you’re lined up perfectly with the ramp. [Holiday 2001, p.62]
  6. an excellent recreation of the sport of bicycle stunt riding. The design of the racing environments is so creative that you are constantly learning new ways to master this sport.
  7. The game was pretty fun—for about two levels. After that, MHPBMX began to feel way too repetitive. [Jan 2002, p.118]
