  1. Precisely what an expansion pack should be; it takes the original game and builds a completely unique, exciting experience off of it.
  2. What we do get are new levels in North Africa and Italy, in which we slog through the same old objectives and firefights we've been executing since January '02. [Dec 2003, p.108]
  3. There really isn't much to Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough that you haven't already seen before, and it's definitely not a product that will make people go out and buy Medal of Honor Allied Assault if they haven't already.

I actually preferred this to spearhead which although great was way too short and poor value, Breakthrough on the other hand is longer and tougher but can get frustrating mainly due to the lack of Ammo, and this was on medium level so I would imagine it was near impossible on hard. I would recommend it for anyone who found the first two games a breeze as it does contain some stunning levels. Expand

The thing missing in spearhead and breakthrough is the intense feeling of the action. The feeling of deperation in the war, when you're ambushed. The feeling that you're actually in there fighting the war and not playing a game. Expand

I thought Spearhead was bad. Breakthrough was worse, by far. The fact that it seemed like only one in thirty enemies dropped ammo for me made it an incredibly annoying game to play. You honestly can't expect someone to beat a game like MoH, with so many enemies to kill, on 40 rounds in a pistol that isn't the ultra-powerful Hi-Standard HDM. There was nothing exciting about this game, and the coolest thing was the Berthier, which should have been a Bren gun and wasn't included even remotely enough. Expand
