May 5, 201181Men of War: Assault Squad is a great game for real-time strategy enthusiasts.
-
Apr 17, 201170The total effect of the expansion pack is still positive (multiplayer is still fun; even the single-player has its uses) but there are a few worrying signs – the introduction of hero units and special abilities and the inward-looking nature of the entire game (SP as preparation for MP).
-
Apr 7, 201180At its best, Men Of War: Assault Squad provides hours of tactical chin-stroking, some stonkingly memorable engagements, and a whole kit-bag of replayability, especially in co-op.
-
Apr 7, 201180A modern vision of chess game, Assault Squad offers a micro strategic vision of war, giving the possibility to control a little party of soldiers up to the victory.
-
May 10, 201170Recommended for RTS fans and those who can accept that the first hours are kind of hard, who will be rewarded with a fun and addictive game.
-
Mar 4, 201170Quotation forthcoming.

Aug 19, 201170In no way an easy game, and probably an overwhelming experience for most people, but also the closest thing we'll get to the battles of WWII without a time machine.
-
Apr 30, 201180The authentic Men of War: Assault Squad packs plenty of challenge for real-time strategy enthusiasts.
-
Mar 7, 201170There's no doubt that the gameplay of Men of War is brilliant, but seeing as Assault Squad is only a multiplayer expansion and features a steep learning curve, it's hard to justify the $35 asking price. Fortunately, those seeking a more campaign-based experience won't have to wait long - a Vietnam-themed title is due to be released shortly.
-
Mar 17, 201167For as much as I was excited to play Men of War: Assault Squad, I was bitten in the ass by entering with no foreknowledge of the game.
-
Feb 21, 201182For a strategy game, Men of War: Assault Squad features great environments and nice graphics. Enjoy the game - Men of War: Assault Squad deserves it.
-
May 22, 201170Interesting, although limited development of good RTS towards multiplayer. This game is not a groundbreaker but if you like playing cooperative military action games it has a great potential to entertain you. [Issue#203]
-
Mar 31, 201180The new expansion for Men of War, issued as a stand-alone product, allows us to take part in skirmishes set in World War II. Its control focuses on infantry units and remains flexible and fluid, while improvements in artificial intelligence provide a valuable tactical product. One of the best options nowadays, whether this is the first time you approach a game like this or you are already a veteran of the genre.
-
Mar 28, 201185Men of War: Assault Squad offers a rich and varied multiplayer component, as well as various improvements in terms of graphics and artificial intelligence. A must buy for fans of the series.
-
May 19, 201170A well rounded multiplayer extension of the classic Men of War formula, hurt most by technical issues and a steep learning curve. Worth a look for fans of the series.
-
Apr 21, 201185Vivid and tactically demanding, Assault Squad is a brilliant multiplayer game that's even better with friends. [June 2011, p.78]
-
Apr 1, 201181The old soldier shows his gregarious side. This is gruelling but great WWII action, spanning every theatre.
-
Apr 18, 201180Difficult to get into and somewhat unintuitive, but so wonderfully tactical and complicated! [May 2011, p.74]
-
Mar 21, 201180It's old style strategy, unforgiving, hard to learn and harder to master. If this is your kind of stuff, you'll love it.
-
Mar 4, 201185This is one of the most immersive and fun strategy experiences around, so dig in.
-
Apr 18, 201182This is a superb game, despite the saturation of the genre and the overexploitation of the setting, thanks to is great freedom, objetive design and visual realism.
