But even with all of these positive attributes, not to mention the other hallmarks of the series – the fabulous soundtrack, the suspenseful timed ending, the plot twists, the historical research, the phone calls to Nancy's friend and boyfriend – I found the game very underwhelming.
-
90The puzzles are engaging without being too taxing, and are mixed into the story nicely. The plot is paced well. I just couldn't find anything about this game I didn't like, except that it is a bit short.

83Nancy Drew: Warnings at Waverly Academy is a challenging, quality adventure game.
-
It's the best game in the series so far, and it will be thoroughly enjoyed by new and old players alike.
-
Probably written with the back-to-school season and Halloween in mind, Warnings at Waverly Academy is a refreshing change of pace for Nancy Drew as, for once, we get to see Nancy in a school setting being a somewhat more normal teenage girl.
-
67Warnings at Waverly Academy proves that Nancy Drew has come a long way since she made bobby socks hot in 1930. As a value point-and-click adventure/puzzle title, it may not be the valedictorian, but it's good enough for honor roll.
-
In all, this game is one for the younger and loyal crowd of Nancy Drew followers; all others can take a pass.
-
52Nancy Drew: Warnings at Waverly Academy is an excellent example of a game that could have been a lot of fun had it just done a few things differently.
