Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution isn’t the revolution it could have been, and even though it took some logical steps in the right direction to improve the one-vs.-one fights with new mechanics, the story, missing cinematic action and the new battle system feel like Revolution has taken the series one step forward, but two steps back.

Except for the huge selection of characters, there's no real reason to pay full price if you already own the predecessor.

Fun enough in its own right, but lacking in a number of ways when compared to its predecessor. There isn't much in the way of new stuff for Naruto fans to squee over, and as this is a game based around making Naruto fans go "squee", that's a bit of an issue.

You can just watch the cut-scenes and attack animations on YouTube and save yourself time and boredom, because the combat system is poor compared to other Gundam style games. [13/2014, p.65]

I don't know why people are being negative but this is a 10 for me at least. The only thing that could be better is the price, should be so pricy. There is so little to do hrer, but it's still a Naruto game! If you're a big fan of the Naruto franchise, then you will not be disappointed. Expand

I really enjoyed the World Tournament thing they added to the game. It keeps me well entertained. :)

The price is reasonable if you got it pre-purchased for $44.99. It also comes with few extra add ons to when pre purchased. I just love this game a lot.

I hook up my PC to my TV for a much better experience.

The story mode was removed completely, and the new adition of the "Ninja World Tournament" is a dissapointment: no final techniques, no awakening mode, and no multiplayer. I really do not recommend the game unless you don't have the previous titles, or unless any of the new characters is your favorite. Expand

Story mode is good from where they show missing parts of the anime, huge island tournamant mode sucks and is just a waste of time(do yourself a favor and just unlock everyone by just playing the game in battles). Game feels and plays the same as the last 6 releases. I hope they come out with something new and fresh for the next gen releases cause their flagship naruto game is really starting to feel like its starting to wearout its welcome. Expand

The game mechanics are *very* boring (you'll spend 80% of the time looking at the cinematics of the special attacks) and the other 20% either jumping around or comboing + disappearing + reappearing behind. The game modes are also boring, except the tiny story mode which is well done and with a well executed story. There isn't a proper story mode. There isn't even an arcade mode. The world tournament mode is awful. It is a pity the effort that was wasted into this game. I give him 4 instead of 1 or 2 because the technical aspects are good, and the cut scenes are wonderful. Don't buy this game until it costs 10$ or less. Expand
