How is it not a sim. You can change everything from sponser to track bar setting to left rear tire pressure. There are 50-60 settings you can change before each race. I dont know how it can be anymore realistic than that. I guess all you haters just want static racing where you can sit down in an arcade and race away.

Like said before, this is not really a sim, rather a "dressed up" arcade game made to look like a sim.

It is an awesome sim racing game, the only problem is no good career mode to keep me coming back for more. That and long load times!

Dreadful game. arcade but not fun. as a sim it fails miserably. built on reashed to death isi engine. drivable oversteer and oscar winner testers... the usual pressrls crap. EA sure bought the reviews but they didnt buy the users , driver and simmers around the net. just a quick browse for demo reactions makes it clear. this is a flop. no even name papyrus as comparison makes you instantlyDreadful game. arcade but not fun. as a sim it fails miserably. built on reashed to death isi engine. drivable oversteer and oscar winner testers... the usual pressrls crap. This game is awful! There are bugs throughout the entire game. Yellow Flags dont work correctly, the one patch ea came out with was pitiful. Gamespy multiplayer has major issues of removing your loging and not allowing a player to ever return. You have to go and buy another game and use a totally different email, and login. EA Sports has no technical support to speak of. I am in the third This game is awful! There are bugs throughout the entire game. Dont buy this game!! Its a waste of money. Expand

Its just the same old Nascar 2003 season made to look a little prettier and run a little slower.

Great. This game is the perfect racing game. If it's realism you're looking for that is. the racing gets a bit boring after a while but as I said, If you're looking for a realistic racer, By all means. pick this up.

Horrible, even after the patch. Problems just too numerous to mention, not a realistic sim at all. I regret giving my money to EA for this one.

  1. Offers just about everything a racer could want (with the exception of a comprehensive printed manual) and works hard to satiate the thirsts of both the action/arcade crowd and the generally more demanding devotees of realistic/simulation competition.

EA has not only closed that gap, but they have exceeded Papyrus' efforts in many significant ways, such as the excellent physics model, featuring "drivable oversteer," third-party extensibility, and just about every option imaginable.

For the most part, NASCAR SimRacing boasts a fine presentation, although the graphics aren't that cutting-edge, and the cars can look a bit too simple. There's also a silly flaw that hurts the game's authenticity: censorship of beer logos.
