  1. While this may be short, it is great fun.
  2. While this clever European import proves there are still fresh and innovative concepts for PC gamers, the fun is over too quickly. A skilled player will be able to complete all 14 episodes in about two or three hours.
  3. It's impossible not to have a good time with this game unless you're just into NASCAR or blasting people's heads off.
  4. 75
It's everything reality television should be -- cruel, funny and heartless -- but it's over all too quickly.
  5. 70
An amusing puzzle game with some interesting twists. It's not very long and it's not very difficult, but it is charming and addictively entertaining.
  6. Easy to get started and few commands required to play the game. Unfortunately you repeatedly play some of the same pranks over and over, but still quite entertaining.
  7. Ever played "Secret Of Monkey Island," "Day Of The Tentacle," "Full Throttle" or "Sam And Max Hit The Road"? Then you’ll love Neighbours From Hell.
  8. Brevity is the main drawback here: you can beat the whole game in just a few hours. But it's funny while it lasts. [Nov 2003, p.126]
  9. Despite its brevity and sadistic humor, you receive an odd sense of satisfaction when your pranks work. Although hardcore gamers might find this title a bit beneath their level of sophistication, most who enjoy electronic recreation will find this release quite fulfilling.
  10. It's a bit repetitive, and it should be about four times longer—an experienced prankster can finish it in a single afternoon. Other than that, this one is a keeper.
  11. Neighbors From Hell's simple gameplay mechanics and quirky theme make it a fun, albeit easy and short, strategy game reminiscent of the classic '80s computer game "Spy vs. Spy."
  12. The combination of puzzle-solving and strategy works well, but there simply are not enough episodes and environmental variations to keep the player engaged for more than 5 hours at the maximum.
  13. Excruciating brevity is Neighbours From Hell's most hideous drawback, and we can't imagine you sat there a week from purchase playing the same levels over and over. There's a disturbing lack of variety as well.
  14. Surprisingly well made and entertaining. [Jan 2004, p.76]
  15. 40
Its galling brevity combined with the inability to actually watch many of your tricky labors make it a one-shot deal at best, with little replay value -- except perhaps in real life.

As I grow older I have less and less time to play massive campaigns... neighbors from hell is a perfect quick fix. It's funny (all too rare in these dark brooding games), original and basically put me in a good modd. Can't ask for much more than that. Full Review »
  2. OK maybe the game is short and the levels aren't too different. But you gotta admit it's a fun concept and it's not meant to be taken seriously- it's more of a casual game. It's a "quick fix". Nothing heavy just a bit of light point-and-click strategy game for the casual market. Full Review »
