NightSky is a nice place to visit. The physics-based gameplay is clever, but the real draws are the beautiful scenery and the ambient electronic soundtrack.

But if you can break through the periodic pain barrier that comes with such exacting physics-based challenges, you'll be able to bask in the warm glow of manly gaming satisfaction. And with around six hours' worth of it to roll through, it'll put hairs on your chest. Not so good if you're a lady, obviously.

Nightsky is another beautiful 2D game from Nicklas Nygren "Nifflas", where he shows his will to keep experimenting in the field he hopes to master. In other games he tried new formulas around exploration, creation and puzzles in his huge bidimensional worlds, but his new title is a different beast and he really focus on physic manipulation to solve puzzles through levels, adding and taking away mechanics to create a rich game with an excellent ambiance and music.

Dark environment and traditional music are great backdrops for this relaxed physical arcade. It's not enough to be the game of the year but Nifflas did not disappoint us. [Issue#201]

$10 is a steep price for this 2D platform puzzler. Very basic, no complexity, no story, no plot, no replayability, no innovation--Sonic-like in some respects. Full Review »
  2. That was a experience! The game is so atmospheric: outstanding soundtrack and graphics, that gave you the impression to forget about time and twist! Gameplay is all the same throughout the game but it has an addicitve effect on the player. I must recommend this for all who like relaxing games with an atmosphere! Full Review »
  3. Short and stylish with some interesting and unique physics-based puzzles. Indie fans would enjoy this one, but I only recommend picking this up in a bundle! Full Review »
