  • Summary: A visually stunning 3D real time strategy game that pits the forces of two planets against each other in an epic struggle for control of the vast asteroid belt that circles their planets. Within the concentric rings of the belt are the precious resources that both planets desperately need to thrive. Millennia Ago, an empire spanning the galaxy collapsed after a long and brutal war. In the Aldus system, two orphaned races slowly evolved on two separate planets. Both races believed that they were unique and alone in the universe. They were soon to find out that they were neither unique nor alone. [Strategy First] Expand

No major breakthrough, but it is an exceptional outing suited to longtime RTS fans and newcomers alike.
  2. If "Warcraft 3" is a tactical blitz, O.R.B. is the slower, relaxed alternative. It's a seldom-traveled path: a game of patience, development and, lest we forget, strategy.

While I had my issues with the movement controls, it was really the lack of creativity and focus in the objectives that got me.
  4. Graphics aside, the final nail in O.R.B.'s coffin is its pace. Ships crawl across the screen, and even at triple speed (as fast as it gets), it seems to take an eternity for anything to navigate the map. [Mar 2003, p.86]

The graphic is COOL. Well thats all :)) nothing more. I am not fan of space strategies. Yeah and one more thing under Win98 this game just dont want to run because CD is named O.R.B and Win98 just dont recognize dots, so U can play only on XP or 2000. Expand
