  • Summary: At World's End video games from Disney Interactive Studios invite players to "live and die by the sword" as they venture to the worlds of the films and beyond while playing as Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. [Disney Interactive Studios]

  1. It's nothing more than a generic action-packed game experience, inspired by a Hollywood blockbuster with very little depth. If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all.
  2. The characters and scenery look absolutely gorgeous, and the speaking is surprisingly good. Sadly, the developers seem to have aimed at the younger crowd and the non-gaming crowd, as there's really no challenge other than overcompensating for the occasionally stupid AI.
  3. I'd even go out on a limb that it's probably one of the best movie to game renditions I've ever played (although that's not saying a whole lot), and it would be perfect for the youngsters.
  4. Ultimately, between the short campaign and the rather bland combat, Pirates doesn’t do a lot to separate itself from the heap of other action games just like it.

Sure, it's cool that you'll find references to some of the more popular third-person action titles, such as Prince of Persia's balance-beam act and hand-over-hand wall crawling, but nothing in here screams innovation.
  6. The dull, repetitive combat and uninspired mission structure prevent At World's End from being much fun.
  7. Action-adventures this blah should be sunk to Davy Jones' Locker. [Sept 2007, p.56]

Superb game. I thought it was great.

In my opinion, despite being based on a movie, this game is great.
It is adictive. The gameplay is good ( there are minigames in most of the
missions; you can fight using swords, old pistols, bombs and knifes; and there are a lot of hidden objets to search ). The enemies are varied ( there are a lot of different enemies with different skills, incluiding bosses ). The graphics are OK ( the models are very detailed but the textures have sometimes bad resolution) and the game uses the same music that appeared on the movies. Expand

I though this game was fun. It was addicting with challenges that you always wanted to unlock to get that extra character, but you could never get it. This game is HIGHLY re playable. Expand

I have had the liberty to playtest the PC version and i have to say: It was really really bad. Graphics are on the level of 2001. It also has to be said the PC version is totally diffrent from the 360 and PS3 versions. The lip-sync is horrible and there are a lot of bugs present. From landscape not popping up to sounds not being played, its all there. So, if you are getting this game. Dont get the PC version! Expand

This is a direct port from console. Graphics are average at best for PC. It is a totally gimped game. The controls are shocking, there is no mouse support whatsoever. I spent $90 on this and am taking it back to the store. I wouldnt even get this if it was FREEWARE. Dont do it. Expand
