  1. It's nothing more than a generic action-packed game experience, inspired by a Hollywood blockbuster with very little depth. If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all.
  2. The characters and scenery look absolutely gorgeous, and the speaking is surprisingly good. Sadly, the developers seem to have aimed at the younger crowd and the non-gaming crowd, as there's really no challenge other than overcompensating for the occasionally stupid AI.
  3. Ultimately, between the short campaign and the rather bland combat, Pirates doesn’t do a lot to separate itself from the heap of other action games just like it.
  4. I'd even go out on a limb that it's probably one of the best movie to game renditions I've ever played (although that's not saying a whole lot), and it would be perfect for the youngsters.

Sure, it's cool that you'll find references to some of the more popular third-person action titles, such as Prince of Persia's balance-beam act and hand-over-hand wall crawling, but nothing in here screams innovation.
  6. The dull, repetitive combat and uninspired mission structure prevent At World's End from being much fun.
  7. Action-adventures this blah should be sunk to Davy Jones' Locker. [Sept 2007, p.56]

I though this game was fun. It was addicting with challenges that you always wanted to unlock to get that extra character, but you could never get it. This game is HIGHLY re playable. Full Review »
