  1. Prison Break - The Conspiracy is an okay stealth-action-mix but only for the fans of the TV-series.
  2. It’s thrilling for the first hour, but then it’s just routine. There’s no way to try and find a clever solution for a problem because the game only offers a single one. That’s annoying even for die-hard fans of the TV series.
  3. Better-than-average stealth action game with no essential flaws. Gameplay suffers from repeatability though so Prison Break is recommended only to original series fans. [Issue#190]
  4. For the 10 or so hours spent skulking behind bars, Prison Break fans will adore the atmosphere and ridiculously outlandish plot elements. [Sept 2010, p.79]
  5. Get it if you're a Prison Break completist. [June 2010, p.62]
  6. Fans of the TV show may get some enjoyment out of this title, but anyone else will want to steer clear of Prison Break.
  7. Prison Break has a lot of mistakes in its gameplay and in the technical makeup. There are only mitigated by the argument and the presence of direct characters from the TV series.
  8. Prison Break brings trial and error, a poor story and awkward controls. Lock it up and throw away the key!
  9. After Lost: Via Domus, The Conspiracy clearly shows that the serial-tie-in is the new deviant monster of our market.
  10. The “alternative look” at the familiar events is hardly a bait for Prison Break aficionados. Other players will be turned off by horrible stealth, incoherent storytelling and outdated visuals.
  11. Despite the involvement of many of Prison Break stars, The Conspiracy is just a game developed to make money with the pretext of its popular IP.

As the plodding narrative progresses, these repetitive fighting and stealth tasks grow quickly tedious.
  13. Tedious missions. [June 2010, p.88]
  14. This stealth game takes all the fun out of life in prison.
  15. Prison Break: The Conspiracy should never have been published. It fails to deliver as a stealth game, and the fighting system is riddled with shortcomings. It doesn't help that the story feels washed up and boring.
  16. It’s only been out for a couple of weeks and it’s already getting heavily discounted by some retailers – and there’s a whole bunch of reasons for that. I don’t care if you’re a fan of the show, it’s just not worth it.

  1. I think most reviewers are just competing who will make more jokes on account of this game and unknown developer. Some of them are even open enough to say they don't like Prison Break in the first place. How can one hope for a fair review from such writers? Very unprofessional, guys. It's true this game is not the best out there, but it's not so bad either. It's definitely much better then Lost and it's one of the best games that take place in a prison, where players can't use guns and cast spells. I don't know what some of the above mentioned reviewers expected from this game as they complain exactly about these things. I find PC Gamer's review the closest to what I think about the game. Maybe I'd give it another few 10 percent as the atmosphere is quite on spot with the feel of the series. It's a good game. Full Review »
