  • Summary: Project Temporality is set in a dystopian future where mankind has used theories by Martyn J. Fogg to ignite Jupiter and create new habitable planets out of its moons. You are #87, an involuntary test subject at a mobile research base residing at the outskirts of Jupiter's territory. As you progress through the game you will be learning more about your backstory and your abilities. But most of all, you learn to think about time in a nonlinear way, which is necessary to solve the later puzzles.

Project Temporality is really all about trying to change the ways the player thinks about time. Instead of considering it a single arrow going forward as in physics, we are treating it more like a branching tree that can double back on itself and sprout new branches at your command.

The title offers quite a bit of fun for those who love the idea of solving puzzles, while philosophically questioning the role that time plays in our lives.

While the game lacks Portal’s fantastic character and narration, and doesn’t have quite the same atmospheric depth as The Swapper, it still retains a sense of originality through its clean design, thoughtful story and spectacular puzzles.

Project Temporality is not particularly original but it does provide a few leisurely hours of thoughtful time-clone puzzling.

It looks good and holds some interesting ideas, but the control and the repetitive puzzle system have a negative impact on the overall experience. If you’re looking for a puzzle game, though, this may work.

Project Temporality is okay, and that’s the feeling you get from all aspects of the game. It’s well made, and some thought clearly went into the puzzles and story, but not a lot of thought went into how much fun it is to actually play.

Without the constant glitches, the game would be a mediocre six-hour distraction allowing you to toy with an enjoyable time-bending mechanic. The shallow story and the general awkwardness of its delivery, not to mention Project Temporality's inability to lead the protagonist without a leash, however, prevent the game from being worth the time.

This was a really unexpected game for me. I was surprised about how fresh the idea is, and how fun it was to play. I hope they support it with future DLC's. Expand

Its a unique puzzle game with time manipulation that could even rival Valves Portal series.
With a very interesting story and puzzles that
could even give a Time Lord a hard time.
This is a game that will challange gamers to think long and hard than rewind if they screw up.
