  1. Once you understand the game and commands it’s not too terrible, but the learning curve is really steep. You really need a lot of time to fully grasp this title especially if you are not a die-hard military RTS fan.
  2. It was frustrating, it was overwhelming, and it never managed to draw me in. I’m by no means a military enthusiast or a wargamer, so I’m probably a bit biased against this sort of title.
  3. The deep detail and high learning curve, combined with balky interface, will only appeal to the fan of pinpoint military accuracy who's willing to devote the time and patience to get control of it all.
  4. Raging Tiger is a challenging wargame for masters of the genre, but I cannot recommend it for a general gaming audience. There’s simply too much to learn and not enough incentive for casual gamers to want to play.
  5. Computer Games Magazine
The armored Task Force engine is one of the most complete, and completely baffling, systems in modern computer wargaming[sic]. [Dec p.63]
  6. Computer Gaming World
For those of you who crave endless realism in your war games, it's probably as realistic a military simulation as you'll get without risking being exposed to IEDs and insurgent attacks. For the rest of us, it simply fails as a game. [Apr 2005, p.87]
