This app is absolutely awesome. It is worth every penny of the $4.99 it costs to download it.
Four of the best shooters money can buy in a single collection, Raiden Legacy is shooter perfection.
Don't think twice about the rather hefty $4.99 price tag, because frankly, it is more than justified for any enthusiast. Think of all the quarters it will be saving!
If you enjoy the Raiden games or shoot em ups in general, this is a solid investment as you get four games with multiple modes for your purchase.
For old school shooter fans, this is a welcome trip back, but it also shows how far the genre has come since then.
Raiden Legacy is a nice compilation for all the classic shoot'em-up fans out there, but the controls should be more sensitive.
Even with these smart decisions on the part of the publisher (or possibly decisions made at the behest of the developer), and the quality of the ports, I can't say that the Raiden games hold up against shooters tailored more towards iOS. Even with the faster touch controls enabled, I found that my hand was getting in the way far too often, and that I didn't have the same level of immersion that I would have with a physical joystick.
