Not very good. It adds virtually nothing to the experience that will make RCT2 more fun or more appealing to the casual gamer.
  2. Fourteen new scenarios, a handful of new objects to add to your park, but unfortunately very little else.
  3. Last spring's "Wacky Worlds" expansion was lambasted by critics and fans for offering just a few new themes and scenarios, and the latest add-on is equally uninspired. Time Twister is modeled on the same formula as its predecessor and is just as disappointing.

I thought this game was quite possibly one of the most amazing games I have ever played - the multimedia experience was quite sublime.

The thing is all the stuff in this game; like wacky worlds should have been in the original RCT 2. Many of the 'new' rides are exactly the same as older ones just with new cars, stations etc. So why make them new rides when they new stations and cars could come under the existing rides when you select station type and car type. Having this does make the game more realistic because oviously in rel life the ride designer have a wide range of carriages and themes to choose from when designing a ride but for the price if this is all they're offering I just don't think it's worth it for non-RCT fans. There's no new forms of gameplay; as IGN kindly point out. For RCT fans it's just a pack that enables them to build how they want more effectively. I haven't had a chance to look at it much yet but there are some of the rides that RCT fans have been asking for: e.g. the hall of mirrors. It does give RCT fansd something more to chew on but they've been asking for certain rides and the creators have quite simply been ignoring them. There are rides that they haven't put into the game(despite the fact that it would be phonemally easy to do so) that are in theme parks all over the world. They do know these rides exist--the fact is they're just ignoring it You still can't build a bouncy-castle for f's sake! I think something proper's in order here! It's good that Time Twister's the final expasion pack because now they only have one way to go--RCT 3! I think they should make a new game and put in some of the bleedin' obvious rides (bouncy castle !) that they've missed out. I think it's time for a new game with better graphics, better gameplay and with the rides and parks that everyone's been asking for! They say the old graphics are so you can use it on any computer but the fact is that time's moving on and prety soon everyone's gonna have a computer that can easilt handle at least a game with a simple 3D engine. I'm hoping that the reason that Wacky Worlds and Time Twister are like this is becuase they've (Chris Sawyera and co) already started work on an 3rd instalment and decided not to go too much to town with the RCT 2 expansion packs. (I've heard rumors which point to this.) But why did they have to charge so much for them? I mean; I know they're trying to make lots of money but this is a matter of politeness! And why the hell don't they include what we've all been asking for all this time: Ride-Your-Own-Rides! For heaven's sake it's been requested since the first damn game and it IS brilliant and fun despite those who say it'll get boring after a while or whatever.--It's all about vanity and admiring your own creations! That said; as an RCT fan I must say it is a good game for me personally... ... Okey! Expand

The fact is, it isn't. However this was expected as third parties have investigated the RCT2 engine and found that the game isn't customizable for entirely new brands of rides like Strata Coasters or Pipeline Coasters. Frontier had to work with what they had, which is limited to creating new scenery and using existing rides as templates to create new themed ones. Time Twister has earned a place in fan RCT History: The invention of animated paths. So if you can find this expansion for a very cheap price, I'd pick it up. I was decently satisfied with the effort Frontier DID put in on the themed rides such as the Dark Age themes and Futuristic themes for instance. Expand

Not very happy with this expansion. It isn't something you really must have.. Of course for the RCT fans like me you just have to buy it Not very happy with this expansion. It isn't something you really must have.. Of course for the RCT fans like me you just have to buy it and have it. Why didn't they save a little energy for let's say a whole new RCT. I'd like to see a new RCT with new graphics and engine. BUT...with the same gameplay and realisme. Maybe Atari needs to go together with other game developers to a really new innovated RCT game.
