Players collect troops, build armies, conquer new lands and build up kingdoms, complete with resource collection, city building and peasant management. SAGA's features include massive armies, multiplayer questing, guild wars, espionage, and an auction house for trading troops and spells. SAGA has no subscription fees. Players pay as little or as much as they decide, by purchasing 'booster packs' of random troops and spells, which are traded and customized to create the strategic army of choice for each player. 1. After my first pass at Saga I’m still excited about the game and enjoying it and forsee many hours ahead of me in the Saga universe.
  2. A mad experiment that mostly pays off. [June 2008, p.86]
  3. The game merits a very qualified recommendation, at least for those gamers that have the patience to deal with the growing pains one often sees with an MMO. These pains are exponentially worse here, due to it being an MMO in two relatively new genres, RTS and collectible.
  4. 50
Viewing the RTS element of the game in isolation, the overall tactical action is a bit bland despite the fact that the fantasy setting gives a nice variety to the troop types. Combine that with a poorly documented empire game and unsteady MMO architecture and it becomes even less appealing.

This game is a little bugged "sometimes".
I hate that some buildings have soo much health that you need to wait 5 minutes for destroy it.
I have some FPS Issues like 18 fps with a Intel Core i5, Nvidia Geforce 840m but I hope this will be fixed!

There have been a lot of good suggestions for the future of this game on the forums, but the devs are not very active, so I'm not sure if half of them will ever see the light of day. This game has a lot of potential, but I fear it may be too much for an indie developer to handle. Expand
