  1. There is literally no difference between the PC and the Xbox versions of the game, apart from the clunky keyboard controls, but feel to buy a game pad or map the keys to places you find easier to use… all 17 of them!
  2. Samurai Warriors 2 is a bottle of Saki that's well past its sell-by date.
  3. Slightly fun, but only in the most stupid definition of that word. [Sept 2008, p.115]
  4. If you liked Samurai Warriors, then you'll like number 2.
  5. Badly ported and badly dated. Not a game for the PC at all. [Oct 2008, p.91]
  6. Console conversion. Two simple words and so much sadness behind them. This game is such an unsuccessful matter you can’t stand more than a few minutes in its proximity. Not to mention the stupid horse riding. [Aug 2008]

Sure th ey all may be the same, and very little changes from time to time, but sometimes you just need to chill and play a simpæe game, where you can just unleash everything you have and go crazy on the enemy. It does look cool, like all the Warriors games, the characters, armors, weapons, and it is a middle age game, so if you like these kind of things, go for it. Expand

Critics are just so dumb, most of them are people who only play part or just the demo of the game. They're not even gamers. I bet any casual gamers can beat them in any game. These critics shouldn't even be critiquing games at all. Well in my opinion this game was average, I've played most of them and they're quite fun, if you want some time to just hack n' slash something. Expand

WIth allThis was the first game I played of the Warrior series (I didn't even know Dynasty Warriors), and I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. WIth all the details on, it looks so much better than the PS2 version and plays at smoother framerate (even though you'll experience slowdowns if you have a slow gpu, and you don't get the patch, as the game seems to not skip frames at all). Every character has a different story mode, and I loved playing with many of them, though it starts getting repetitive as many of the stages are shared with lots of characters
9 is the score I would have given the game when I played it for days, but after playing so many Warriors games (Samurai Warriors 1, XL, 2 XL, 2 Empires, 3, Dynasty Warriors 4, 6) I somehow understand the complains of the critics... the game is a fun buttonmasher, and is also fun to play with someone, it's a rather simple game, but it's fun.
