71This action adventure is just like the movies: dark, bloody and always copying itself. The villain of the game and his plots are the game’s greatest asset. But there’s not enough substance behind the great presentation.
-
Imaginative traps and terrifying Jigsaw make Saw: The Videogame surprisingly playable matter. If you liked the original movie you will enjoy the game equally.
-
Saw fails to deliver the suspenseful crescendos, surprising twists, and apprehensive atmosphere of the films. Instead, it’s padded with unremarkable gore, poor pacing, and uninspired level design. [Issue#199, p.101]
-
If Saw were a scary game, we would have given it a free pass for clumsy action and silly endings. Alas, there is nothing to be afraid of in the dark. After a couple of rooms, you’ll be ready for anything.

-
