In short, Shot-Online isn't just a good game, it is a game that is good for the industry.
  2. The unique melding of realistic golf simulation with MMORPG-style character progression, online community interaction, micro-payment economics and periodic tournaments and special events amounts to one of the most fun and rewarding videogame sports experiences I have played in a good while.
  3. Shot-Online is a good golf game that isn't the traditional PGA style "step into the shoes of a pro" but instead gives players a way to act out how golf is in the real world – filled with people who want to play against you.
  4. Shot-Online is a pleasant snack between much heartier gaming feasts. [oct. 2006, p.69]

Shot-Online has a tightly knit community. There seems to be constant tournaments and other events going on to keep the community there. The MMO stuff just doesn't do it for me.
  6. With a quality golf backbone to give purpose to the MMO portions, Shot Online's formula has the potential to be a hole in one, but this implementation turns it into more of a double bogey.
  7. 51
As soon as leveling becomes an extended, lengthy process, the blandness of Shot-Online comes screaming to the surface.
  8. So, basically, you have a pretty average, simple golf game, with a world online that's enjoyable enough to play through with fellow golfers.

Playing through 18 holes takes way too long. Because you have to wait while everyone takes a turn, you'll spend too much time doing absolutely nothing during these multiplayer rounds.
  10. 35
Shot Online's execution is just poor.
