80It won't keep mature gamers' attention for very long, but kids will love it.

I enjoyed playing Shrek the Third because it is a fun, uncomplicated title that is accessible to action fans of all ages. It's a linear adventure, though, so don't expect a whole lot of replay value.
-
73Shrek the Third doesn't take a lot of chances with its license or gameplay. It is essentially a beat-em-up platformer that provides an extension of the movie with a very light amount of challenge.
-
70There is a demo online for PC gamers to test it out before playing it. I'd personally recommend that route for older gamers. Younger games will eat this up like candy.
-
The gameplay and value are pretty decent but could have been much better with a little effort.
-
60The game captures the feel of the franchise, but seriously lacks any sort of depth or attention to detail, as the game is ridden with buggy areas, odd animation glitches, and an entirely linear design.
-
60Feels rushed and unrefined - certainly not enough to make a memorable impact on the gaming scene.
-
There are several attempts at greatness, like the mini-games that can be enjoyed with your friends. Yet, the mini-games are more of a distraction than anything else.
