Should have been great, could have been great; but ends up just being a better than average attempt at doing something a little different.
SpaceForce: Rogue Universe has some great concepts and gameplay elements, but unfortunately the unintuitive interface and lack of tutorial will keep many gamers from seeing them.
Splendid graphics can't overcome the game's steep learning curve, irritating gameplay elements and overwhelming sense of familiarity.
After the frenzy of battle wears off, so does the appeal of SpaceForce. It's not a bad game; it just goes through the motions. [Sept 2007, p.62]
