Well written and expertly implemented. [Jan 2003, p.119]
  2. A deep-involving and highly addictive space-combat sim. The game's sharp learning curve and its complexity shouldn't be unrightfully misinterpreted as a game flaw, but rather as an essential part of the whole experience.

By far the most straightforward and enjoyable version of the series.
  4. Although the controls can still be difficult to manage at first, Starfleet Command III is worth the effort.
  5. The visual display of space and the ships is still badly executed but with tightened up control methods and an enjoyable plot to wage war through as the Federation develops a station that can detect cloaked vessels.
  6. Where the game excels in its gameplay mechanics, it lacks in its visual presentation.

While both games offer unique experiences, the overall effect of Starfleet Command is much less engaging than that of "Bridge Commander."
  8. An excellent game that will appeal to the hardcore sim-freaks, but only those who have large amounts of time to spend gaming.
  9. A great game overall. Its voice acting, with the exception of the Borg, is superb--the game even features Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard, who provides voice-over for the game's tutorials.

It hurts to see an awesome game in a series I love be diminished by bugs. With some good patching, SFC III will be an excellent game. [Feb 2003, p.64]
  11. If Taldren could take care of the unwieldy camera and add a little more Star Trek weirdness, Starfleet Command might truly take Trek games where they’ve never gone before: into 'A' range.

Haveing more control of the entire fleet and dictations for their actions. To have total control of the selected Empire. Full Review »
