  1. When it comes to looks, Strike Fighters is a stunner.
  2. Aviation history buffs will absolutely love this game, but the rest of us should wait for the promised patches and upgrades.
  3. The enemy is out there somewhere. Finding him is the easy part, staying with him could prove tough, especially when the jet fighter you are flying turns like a semi on a go-kart track.

I'm confident that Strike Fighters will eventually grow to become one of the genre's all-time classics. [Jan 2003, p.108]

Clearly missing some pieces, but the product may be salvageable.
  6. Civilians steer clear: this is definitely one for the flyboys.

Numerous bugs and missing features indicate Strike Fighters was pushed out the door a few months before its time. Again. [Mar 2003, p.105]

This sim at first glance look like it's going to be awesome. It IS beautiful to look and and the flight simulation seems realistic. Though I tried to produce a flat spin in the f-104 ala Chuck Y. In "The Right Stuff" and just cannot get it or any of the other aircraft to depart from control. The campaigns and missions are weak and repetitive, they seem unconnected to eachother. Flight sims are really getting irritating. can't anyone find the balance between fun, realism, and playablity? Collapse
