  1. If you break it down piece-by-piece you won't be blown away, but on the whole it's a solid game that can give any other RTS a run for its money.
  2. 3D terrain, AI that for once is actually more intelligent than artificial, lots of things to build and most importantly pretty explosions when something blows up.
  3. Action hounds need not apply, but it you're into strategy, there's a lot to like here. [Oct 2000, p.132]

If you're looking for a decent RTS that's different than the others, Submarine Titans is a good bet.
  5. Monotony should be avoided in future RTS games, and was only slightly avoided in this game with the addition of almost three axes to play on with the depths, and with the concepts it introduced, but there's still a long way to go before it becomes a blockbuster.
  6. Finally allowing the player to focus on the strategy element of the realtime strategy, the computer assistant is "Submarine Titan's" big achievement and pulls what otherwise is a forgettable genre performer into an interesting title for RTS gamers.
  7. If you can get past the "one Starcraft was enough" feeling then you will likely enjoy "Submarine Titians."

It doesn't break any barriers, but it adds to an already solid concept and is worth taking a look at if you're an RTS fan and you have the patience to bear with a crash or two or 25.
  9. Its rather repetitive mission dynamic and lackluster combat keep it from rising as a clear contender in its field.
  10. A well-rounded, involved game for experienced RTS players but is very difficult and not recommended for the weak of spirit.
  11. Middle of the road RTS fare. Strategy gamers might enjoy the game's novel setting, but its quirks and shortcomings may prove to be frustrating.
  12. Those seeking some true root level innovations should look elsewhere.
  13. In theory, this should have been a good game and had some high expectations, but in practice, it should probably dive back to the depths from which is came, and resurface after a few of the flaws have been leaked out.
  14. It's pretty looking and fun enough for government work, but a bit awkward and not terribly original.
  15. The game's slow pacing, simple combat, weak production values, and other shortcomings collectively prevent Submarine Titans from being much fun.
  16. There is nothing here you haven't seen before.

I have had this game for years and either playing solo or grill to grill its well worth the short download and easy instructions. Played a couple games with a friend and we gave each other time to create everything, then nuked the hell out of each other. After that it was on!!! Full Review »

Sub Titans does a great job at taking classic Starcraft-style RTS and giving it a little extra spice. Computer Assistants, dual interface, HUGE tech trees (techs, counters, counter-counters,etc.), very different races (at least when it comes to the humans-silicons differences) and, of course, the 3rd dimension! Highly recommended. Full Review »
