  1. If you love real-time strategy but are getting a little bored of tank rushes and linear opposition then you should snap this up as soon as you can – it’s worth every penny and then some.
  2. What is really impressive about Sudden Strike is that it creates a more realistic battlefield than other RTS games without bogging everything down in statistics.

The levels look absolutely stunning on the super high resolution. I love the weapon effects and the destructible terrain.
  4. Playing the larger missions is more tedious than fun because of path finding and unit management problems.
  5. Worth a look. Even if you are not a fan of the period or prefer more traditional RTS games, you will probably find that the challenges offered by the diverse campaigns will suck in more of your time than you expected.
  6. There's fun to be had here so long as you aren't expecting a serious World War II sim. [Feb 2001, p.64]
  7. On paper, the idea sounds great (and the game has been a huge hit in Europe), but the final product flat out stinks.

The best WWII RTS I've played. The feature to issue multiple commands while paused helps balance the fact that you are often in control of hundreds of units. It can be quite the challenge, as well. I can come back to this game any time and it has yet to become boring. Expand
