Instead of investing time and energy into making demanding 3D graphics, the crew at FireGlow has concentrated on improving the gameplay by increasing the number of missions, units, and tactical possibilities.
There are better games in a similar setting but none of them offer the real-time pace or the epic scale.

this is the best real time strategy game that i ever played. It is very much underrated by media because the developpers did not do proper marketting. There is a mod that a small community still plays online called sudden strike RWM (real warfare mod). google us, this game is awesome

Fun, but without enough new elements to distinguish itself from its RTS breathren. [Dec 2002, p.120]
Large scale real-time World War II combat is a great idea, but Sudden Strike II falls short in its execution. Take away all of the World War II units, and you are left with a very average strategy game.
A classic example of how to make a real-time strategy game and then completely undermine it with a bad user interface.
It doesn't work consistently, but it's entertaining when it does. [Dec 2002, p.134]
