As a continuation of the story, however, the episode works well. [Dec 2009, p.91]
  2. Lair of the Leviathan is extremely short and not quite up to par in terms of difficulty, but its a generally solid continuation to the episodic series.
  3. It's half-time for Tales of Monkey Island. The third of five episodes is good entertainment, but the puzzles are getting worse. Most of the fun comes from comical situations and the weird characters, not from the game itself. Instead of getting harder, it gets easier.
  4. Even a dip in quality towards the end can't abate the feeling that Tales of Monkey Island has found a second wind in its sail.
