Tales Runner's game play is fast, simple, and extremely fun. Its style of racing falls somewhere between Mario Kart and Kart Rider but since the racing takes place on foot the feel of the races are different. Racing on foot lends a strong sense of vulnerability to the game, especially when being attacked by the multitude of weapons that players can use.

This game used to be so much fun, what the hell happened?

Everything is far too grindy, to the point where it essentially forces you to choose between hours of wasted time or paying real money. Barely anybody plays, and the people who do are stuck up and conceited, the card drop system is complete bull, and the "minigames" are cheap/poorly made and a total waste of time. All the characters are horribly unbalanced to the point where if you dont want to buy the two most expensive characters then you shouldnt even bother, and the only way to even attempt to be as good is to use the alchemy system which, big surprise, involves days of grinding and pointless races for a single item.

This game tries to force you to pay so hard it's essentially pay to win due to the pay-or-grind-for-weeks system, which no "free to play" mmo should do. Things used to be so much easier and so much more fun until gpotato dropped tales runner and OGplanet picked it up and enforced all of this ****
