  1. Whether you are defending the colony from a hornet invasion by manning goo cannons, racing an obstacle course with a team of ants, or foraging for food, the game keeps things fresh. Too bad none of it is exciting. [Feb. 2007, p.102]
  2. The simple gameplay will amuse rugrats enamored with the animated flick, but the game's bully-ish StarForce protection and constant sound hiccups mire the experience. [Nov. 2006, p.120]
  3. This must be one of the first instances in which a video game actually seems like the natural format. But even here, as you acquire weapons, ride wasps and beat up tiny-huge creatures, it seems never to aspire to much beyond adequacy.
  4. As there have been many films adaptations thus far in video gaming-and most of them have never failed to disappoint to some degree-I shouldn't be surprised by this particular title's shortcomings. However, with a cast including Bruce Campbell and a solid movie to draw from, I hoped for more.
