Now if this sounds like a lot of work, it is which just makes this one of the best games on the market.
Throws out the typical RTS paradigm and delivers a engaging game that comes through where it really matters-gameplay.
Simple, yet addictively fun. It takes a while to learn, but after you do you won't want to stop.
Its combination of global conquest and economic elements results in an entertaining experience that can keep players consistently coming back for more.
With a better interface and a more explicit manual, The Corporate Machine would be one of those thankfully rare and accessible strategy games that you can't tear yourself away from.
It was very addictive in its deceptive simplicity; just when I thought I had figured out the formula for success, the AI would show me up with something else. It's not a hard game, but it is a challenge.
While certainly more approachable than its US Election themed follow-up "Political Machine," TCM is a much older game and really doesn't have the same smoothness or fun value. [March 2005, p.113]
