The only thing that marred this fun VR romp, in my opinion, is the length of the game. I would have liked a few more levels to explore and more animals to find. What is there though is well made, beautiful and fun to play. At the end of the day, that is what is important, I had a great time playing it and so did my family.
The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets is so packed with charm that one might underestimate some of the sharply clever puzzles involved. Though it you will probably only play it once, that’s no reason to skip on a game of this quality. A complete delight that could only exist in VR, Stolen Pets bursts with nostalgia and fun.

The most enjoyable sessions when indulging in VR have been hidden gems like this. The medium has been out long enough now that the big showy set pieces aren't going to cut the mustard anymore. Gamers are looking for memorable, thought out experiences, and The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets sticks the landing. Titles like this are thought provoking, delightful experiences that live long in the memory. Although gameplay is simple, and once all aspects have been completed is unlikely to be revisited as a solo effort, this is going to be the VR benchmark for introducing a younger, as well as quirkier audience to what the little black headset can achieve with enough love and care behind it.

Stolen Pets is a very short game, so to say much more about it would be to spoil things. There's not too much replayability either, beyond finding each location's hidden coins, but these are pretty easy to spot. That it's over so quickly would be a problem if it wasn't so darn adorable. Joyous, imaginative, and full of personality, this is sure to bring a smile to all who play it.
Summary Experience an interactive tale of childlike wonder. Help your grandfather solve the mystery of the stolen pets by exploring wonderful miniature worlds crafted from the ground up for VR.
