JamesB.Dec 8, 20036Fun game through the eyes of a Tolkein fan. Wanders from the book but shows some insight to stage before the Council of Elrond. Gameplay is simple and confusing. Can' wait to see what the next installment will be. Something to keep an eye on.

TylerL.Jan 2, 20044I really think they could have had better character animation and voice I was really disapointed with how the charaqcters looked very little like like they did and how bad the voices were, I think they could have made campaigns that were more relevant to the trilogy.

EwanJ.Jan 23, 20053Just doesn't capture the LOTR spirit. Bad acting too.

HyromW.Nov 8, 20033Sad effort - especially in light of the EA Battle for Middle Earth due next year.

D.C.Nov 11, 20034Looks nice, plays awful. The camera wanders around like a crazed thing and combat is made very awkward by not being able to see where your character is half the time. The checkpoints are woefully far apart so you can lose half an hour's play with one wrong move.

A textbook case of glorious buildup and shattered expectations. [Feb 2004, p.72]

60Every thing about this game just feels generic and bland. There's absolutely nothing here that hasn't been done dozens of times before.
-
Its too bad that the gifts this game offers--and there are quite a few--are mired in repetitious, humdrum gameplay routines.
