Two shadowy agents are on his tail, pursuing him across London to the grand train station at Liverpool Street. Nigel suspects that afternoon’s activities may be to blame...Travel with Nigel Danvers to an eerie seaside town on England's east coast. Learn to use advanced techniques used by real paranormal investigators, and uncover an ancient mystery and treasure. But, beware, not all of the towns residents will help in your mission, whether they are alive or dead. Inspiration from the haunting works of Charles Dickens, M.R. James, Arthur Conan Doyle, and E.F. Benson combines with real ghost-hunting gadgets to bring this frightening story to bone-chilling life. Success or failure in locating wandering spirits depends on your skill as an investigator. Placing motion detectors, night vision cameras, and temperature gauges correctly will reveal a location’s haunted past, and expose terrifying apparitions. With nerves of steel, and wits to match, you will soon discover long lost secrets, previously known only to the dead. [Got Game Entertainment] Expand

  1. The Lost Crown stands head and shoulders above most of the adventure game offerings that have come our way over the last few years and frankly I was saddened when it finally ended.
  2. All in all I was fairly impressed with The Lost Crown. A deep story and a disturbingly creepy score put this title high on my list of creepy adventure titles and of adventure titles in general.
  3. The Lost Crown has a great, creepy atmosphere, and the presentation is one of a kind. Dark shadows, spectral figures, near constant mist, and chilling sounds are bound to give most folks an uneasy feeling about playing the game at night in a dimly lit room.
  4. Ultimately, it’s the setting of The Lost Crown, between the brilliant sound design and the superb art direction, that will give you the most pleasure, and a great deal of praise for these elements is due the game’s creator, Jonathan Boakes.
  5. The Lost Crown: A Ghost-hunting Adventure is a good adventure game, but too many conventional elements and low production values keep it from being a great one.
  6. The Lost Crown – A Ghosthunting Adventure is an adventure game the opinions of which will differ. Spooky Atmosphere is great due to the sound design and the thrilling story. But given the stale technology with really poor character animations and the idiosyncratic look, players of graphic delights such as The Book of Unwritten Tales will be difficult to convince to this independent adventure.
  7. From the sleep-inducing gameplay to the wooden dialogue and stale story, the whole project feels phoned in Hunting ghosts has never been so bad.

Fantastic for adventure game lovers! Amazing story, VERY long and immersive. Beautiful backgrounds and interesting use of black and white. Fantastic for adventure game lovers! The female voice actors are competent though the male voice actors are just so not. The game sets up a nice style with its primarily black and white effect inter sprinkled with color for a stark visual effect. Overall very slow paced and atmospheric, but really lacks any form of real tension even when confronted by the bizarre. The sound, music, and graphical style really set the tone well and create a wonderful ambience. Yes you can tell this is a small production on a limited budget, but everything is workable and integrates quite well for the most part. I was surprised how absorbing I found this experience and even before I picked up the gadgets that opened up the game to a whole new level. Expand
