One of the best adventure games of 2004 and likely the best ever to deal with a futuristic, Orwellian theme of corruption and conspiracy. Story, dialogue, character development, settings, artwork, acting, and music are all superb.
At times completely consuming and gripping, at occasions unintentionally abstract and annoying.
Sound-wise, Moment of Silence pulls the game off practically perfect. The voice-overs for the characters all seem professionally done and add an extra touch of polish to an otherwise solid game experience.
The controls are easy but the static camera angle will cause a problem moving around in the game.
Unfortunately, the mechanics are awkward and progress too tedious for anyone not already partly conditioned to the adventure genre's trappings.
A very strong, engaging story set in an interesting world. It's what will keep you playing despite the problems.
An awful and punishing experience... It's not as if adventure games needed another punch to the crotch. [June 2005, p.74]
