When a rival clan, led by Durad, makes known its intention to obtain this power for an evil purpose, the Keepers send their prized student to uncover the artifacts and deliver them, along with the rings, to Grifit, the Old Master. Umang's journey leads him to the portal of a world unknown even to the powerful Keepers. In The Sacred Rings, the portal transports Umang to Manula Valley and a series of truths are revealed. To his dismay, Umang discovers that this world was once inhabited by the Keepers, hundreds of years ago, until it was taken from them by Durad and his clan. More disturbing, it is revealed that Umang's arrival in Manula Valley is just one more step in a plot manipulated by Durad to bring Umang and the rings one step closer to evil. He must now outwit Durad's powerful forces to complete his quest and return the sacred rings to his clan. [Adventure Company] Collapse

  1. The difficulty level is such that you're sure to get caught out on at least one or two of the puzzles, but the pay-off when you solve them heals the pain. It's not a 'classic' but there's a lot to do and there's plenty of fascinating places to explore.
  2. I can’t think of another game where the developers apparently tried so hard to make it no fun to play. As a result, The Sacred Rings is just a bad game. The puzzles are tedious, the locations are dark, and the premise is silly (you actually spend more time trying to reunite two dead lovers than you do dealing with the Sacred Rings).

There was nothing fun, enjoyable, or remotely redeeming about this game at all. The experience was akin to having a root canal.
  4. Extremely difficult puzzles and a vague plot sink this ambitious Myst clone.
  5. 40
Only those gamers in it for the puzzles will get a kick out of this one--those who don’t get overwhelmed, that is.
  6. The limited gameplay with an atmosphere that is completely spoiled by some deviously frustrating design and lazy pathing leads to an experience that for most will be flat and lifeless.
  7. Aura 2 is terrible and I have no sympathy for it – Telltale Games have shown us with Sam & Max that you can still produce funny, clever, well designed and playable adventure games on a very low budget.

Think Myst IV era Myst-like. While the first game played like a somewhat poor amalgamation of Myst and Atlantis, this sequel adds in Syberia, and possibly Dracula, as more modern influences, and just does a far far better job of it.

This is so boring i would rather watch grass grow! Hard puzzles, limited game play, this is not worth the time to even think about this rubbish
