  • Summary: This expansion pack for The Sims 2 takes your Sims out of the suburbs and into a brand new busy apartment building. Adventure, fun, and drama await them as they explore their new neighborhood, mingle in coffee shops, visit a playground, meet new friends, and much more. Because there is now the ability to control multiple households in The Sims 2 Apartment Life, your Sims can live in happy harmony, or comical conflict. New social networks and character types, including artsy bohemians, sports jocks, gadget-loving techies, and edgy gearheads spice up your Sims life. And, with a new reputation meter, your Sims can build up the respect they deserve from other Sims to be the most admired – or least-desired – Sim in the neighborhood. The better the reputation, the easier for your Sims to find the right friends to help them achieve their goals. Make your Sims' space look great in The Sims 2 Apartment Life. Five new building types that range from converted lofts to roomy and posh studios or luxury apartments with their own butler add to the creative and customized adventure. Enjoy a myriad of new decor options, including spiral staircases and lofty, high ceilings. Your Sims will get a whole new kind of experience through the drama of close quarters living! It strikes the perfect balance of adding new material without taking away from the overall game, and it doesn't feel like a completely different path but rather a cool new take on some of the basic mechanics.
  2. How to describe the new add-on to the endless Sims 2 series in one sentence? Rental housing at its best. You will love the beautiful architecture and you will be surprised at how much fun, magic can bring into the normal lives of the ordinary sims. [Sept 2008]
  3. If you played and liked most or all of the previous seven expansions for The Sims 2, you’ll probably like Apartment Life just fine.
  4. Despite being the eighth expansion pack for The Sims 2, Apartment Life has really interesting features. Nice gameplay additions and the possibilty of creating apartment buildings are among it´s strongest virtues. But warning! Just for fans.
  5. This is more entertaining than Free Time and the apartment roommate element spices it up a touch.
  6. The life of the sims and their careers become even simpler to manage, hard as it might be to imagine, with the addition of new instant friend-making combos and... magic. That’s the farewell gift from the team - next expansion is inevitably expected somewhere in 2009, but for "The Sims 3."
  7. In this latest expansion to EA:s virtual life simulator your Sims will experience life in an apartment. Having neighbours is practical for your everyday needs and earning your reputation adds an interesting flavor to the formula. You can also merge several computer controlled families with your own, but these additions still feel too meager for what you're paying. EA could definitely have done more with this package, but what is in here you'll find enjoyable.

A great expansion for a great game. This expansion adds apartments, new objects and, as usually, new clothes and other stuff. Now, The Sims 2 Apartment Life is the most important expansion of the series, for my opinion. It adds new possibilities and a new witch character. Must buy . 89 out of 100 Expand
