  • Summary: Train, play, and care for your cats and dogs, and count on many unexpected twists and turns in this easy-to-play, laptop-friendly version of The Sims. The Sims Pet Stories features two great ways to play. In the new and engaging directed Story mode, you take on a variety of challenges as you compete for 1st place in a local pet show and learn to tame a variety of pet personalities. You even unlock rewards along the way as you achieve set goals. In open-ended Classic mode, you create your Sims and their pets, design their homes, and teach your pets tricks. You decide how their stories unfold. [Electronic Arts] Collapse

  1. Pets was our favourite expansion pack and this improves it to no end. [Sept 2007, p.80]
  2. For those of you who like their games with lots to do or for those who just want to ignore the storyline and mess about by sitting back and watching their pet destroy their house one sofa at a time, The Sims Pet Stories is perfect. For gamers who want to relax in front of their PC, this might not be the best option.
  3. The characters are funnier, the stories more interesting and the gameworld that little bit more interactive thanks to the hairy companions running around. Let's just hope that volume 3, Castaway Stories, features a smoke monster and mysterious hatches.
  4. You really would be better off buying The Sims 2 and its Pets expansion though, and making up your own stories in your head. [Sept 2007, p.82]

I really enjoyed this game. I did have a couple of bugs but I called the tech support number and they fixed it.

While I mostly liked this game, I wish that it worked with my other Sims games.

I am so disappointed in this game. I was able to load the game onto my laptop but was unable to actually play it because the technical support said it was not tested on laptops so there was no guarantee I would be able to run it. I preordered this game back in February only to find out now it won't work. I am so disappointed in EA. Expand
