  1. Members of the mainstream beware: this is is videogames at the graduate level, and you'll have to do a lot of work to make it pay off.
  2. There are some minor additions here and there, but the real selling point here is the scenario design. [May 2006, p.56]
  3. The Star and the Crescent aims to be a detailed simulation of the Arab-Israeli wars down to the individual vehicle level. It succeeds, but at the cost of being so complex very few gamers will want to invest the time to learn it.
  4. This is an ambitious series of games targeted and, who knows, if they do well enough, maybe later versions will add a hint of a third dimension.
