The massive scope of the content, both cars and tracks, makes this an awesome opportunity for racers to sample a bit of all racing genres.
The best game in the series and one of the best pure driving games you can play on the PC. [Aug 2004, p.60]
The game basically forces you to drive better without being unfair and your rivals put up quite a fight, but you won't feel frustrated. And that's quite an achievement considering there are up to 21 cars on a track at once.
A true sequel, but more of an '04 update, ToCA Race Driver 2 takes what we liked about the previous game and adds new cars, new tracks, improved gameplay and better visuals.
A great racing title that offers some serious improvements to the existing Toca series.
A deep and enjoyable racing title with more racing variety than you're likely to find anywhere else on the market today--and at a meager price tag to boot.
Toca 2 lacks the ambition and verve found elsewhere in the genre... Uneventful jaunts down the middle of the road just don't excite us anymore. [May 2004, p.102]
