GertK.Apr 7, 20069One of the best games I've ever played. Much better than Tropico 1. Lost quite a few days in finishing this one.

SebastianMay 11, 20038I like the classic wood-n-brass look and other affectations (like ol timey words like 'middlin' and 'preenin'). Its harder than the original to win the sandlot games, but the increased speed of construction alone makes it superior to Tropico I, not to mention many more varieties of whore houses to choose from!

AlexC.Aug 15, 20038I like the pirate ability, but it is hard to get, and keep, happiness up.

Jok`RdeMoApr 26, 20037This is better than Tropico 1, but the music is not so good howit was. Still, the game is not so dificult like first one. Good game to play it some times.

It's like the developers read my review and fixed everything I complained about in the first game.

78Surprisingly, there is no option for random generation of islands, nor is there any scope for multiplayer frolics, making it feel rather limited.

84It also possesses those characteristics you'd want from just about any game, including a strong interface, good game balance, a bit of whimsy, attractively animated graphics and pleasantly anachronistic, modern Caribbean music.
