Tryst will not win an originality award but it’s a ‘solid’ RTS, catering to those that yearn for an old-fashioned game, sporting a decent single-player mode and robust multiplayer features to keep them, and their online friends, entertained. [January 2013]

Tryst is a good RTS developed by BlueGiant Interactive. It's able to entertain, especially in multiplayer mode, and is recommended to all RTS players who want a dynamic title.

Tryst could be summarized with one, single word: speed. Everything in the game is fast, sometimes too fast, but it is a good way to provide an easy approach to hardcore gamers as well as newcomers.

Especially online I had quite some fun with this strategy that not even remotely tries to hide that it is a StarCraft clone. And to be honest – there isn't much more to it. Somewhat entertaining.

Tryst seems to be targeting people looking for an RTS experience at a lower price point, and I think there might be something here for those gamers. Meanwhile, the game's developers are promising bug fixes, fleshed out tutorials, and DLC to make the game worth the price for the rest of us.

Tryst is a decent game for a decent price but know going in that it has a fair number of issues that (hopefully) will be patched.

Tryst is an RTS based on resource gathering that enriches his extremely classic gameplay with unit customization and environmental hazard. The result is a solid experience, especially in multiplayer, flawed by poor graphics, average sound and a short campaign.

It's interesting, baffling and - at times - bizarre whilst it lasts, and if the community ultimately flocks around it during the coming weeks, you'll likely have a few hours' fun delving into multiplayer matches and figuring out your best build queues before moving on.

Tryst shows no originality in both story and gameplay. All that it has to offer was made by Blizzard 14 years ago.

Tryst is a title that could have done with some more time in development.

BlueGiant has't brought us a very good title. It could be improved in many aspects and it doesn't offer anything new. Maybe its price and multiplayer will make it interesting for some players, but we think it's not worth it unless you're a fanatic of the genre.

Tryst could be described as a poor man's StarCraft, but in this case I'd advise the poor man to save up and simply play StarCraft. This game is generally derivative and far too rough around the edges to bother with for long, with its good ideas buried under presentation and usability problems.

Tryst's memorable title is the only thing that stands out about this otherwise forgettable and buggy real-time strategy game.

Tryst is not what we'd call a well thought-out indie game. The strategic possibilities are limited and the voice overs are a disaster at times. It can still be very fun to play as the Zali or to explore the multiplayer modes. However, the fun stops after a couple of hours, when things turn repetitive.

Tryst makes you wonder what it is about StarCraft II that makes Blizzard's game at all tolerable. [Nov 2012, p.76]

Tryst is a bad joke, a clickfest designed probably with eSports in mind, but so abysmal that no one will bother with it. [CD-Action 13/2012, p.75]

It's just a terrible Russian SC2 ripoff. Go replay SC2 instead of wasting your money on this turd... That is unless you happen to have a fetish for terrible graphics, gameplay, voice acting and writing. Full Review »

Shoddy graphics, poor voice acting, and a russian accent on every character in the game (including the main one) spoil what could have been a good RTS. This game simply copies everything from Starcraft and makes it worse in the process. Cheesy dialogue, bad AI and bad animations are some of the things that make this game what it is. Even the mission remider bar is taken directly from Starcraft. "****** must survive"? BTW the ***** was a main characters name, not a rude word. Thanks a lot BlueGiant Interactive, for wasting fifteen minutes of my day. Do not buy this game. Full Review »
